YT is changing the requirements to become monetized and it is quite the jump.
The current requirements for monetization are:
- 1000 subs
- 4000 watch hours within 365 days.
The new requirements are:
- 1000 subs
- 8000 watch hours within 90 days!

This is going to make it a lot harder for smaller creators to get monetized.

So I have a few things to say:

1) if you've ever wanted to start a channel, now is the time to get serious and lock in as best you can! I have already made a couple of video resources for you including a Filming Must Have breakdown and a Content Creator Crash Course. 2) These changes don't affect my main channel but I do have a second channel ‪@nataliemeagan‬ that I would love to get monetized before they tighten things up. You literally never know when it comes to the internet and thinking about how a huge chunk of my livelihood would disappear if anything should ever happen to my main channel makes me want to be sure my second channel is set up! I would appreciate you subscribing over there even though I don't have a lot of videos up yet, which leads me to my next point...

3) What kinds of things would you like to see on the second channel? What would keep you popping over there to watch? I would love any suggestions from y'all seeing as you are my audience and I want to spend my time making things you will actually watch and enjoy so please, dont hold back.
